Third level domains renewal procedure

Renewal of the third level domains: .COM.RU, .NET.RU, .ORG.RU, .PP.RU is free of charge.

Third level domains renewal procedure includes:

1. Verification of information on the domain name Administrator contained in the RIPN database.

If there is no reply to RIPN e-mail request from a domain Administrator within three business days contact information for the domain is considered actual and complete.

2. DNS-servers testing. DNS-servers specified for the domain are checked for appropriate settings made for this domain.

DNS-servers are tested for 7 days every three hours until the first successful result.

If the testing is not successful for 7 days according to section 4.2.2 The Rules of Administering Generic Domain:

a) the testing procedure stops;
b) the domain delegation is suspended;
c) e-mail notification on the possible date of the domain deletion is sent to "admin-c" and "e-mail" addresses of the domain name Administrator ("admin-o") and to "mnt-nfy" and "tech-c" addresses of the domain name "maintainer".

If after the domain name delegation suspension a domain name Administrator updates DNS-list for the domain and makes appropriate setting in the zone file and the testing of DNS-servers after that update is successful the domain is delegated within three days.

If in 30 days after the domain delegation suspension DNS-servers list is not updated and or was not successfully tested, the domain name is deleted from RIPN database.
