The rules of adminestering GENERIC domains

To register the 3-d level domain name (in COM.RU, NET.RU, ORG.RU zones) you should

1. Register your organization (person) in the RIPN database.

2. Send the request for domain registration

Find out, whether the domain name you would like to register is free. You can do this using the following command:    whois -h whois.ripn.net domain-name
or just by means of Whois service

It is necessary to set up DNS for your domain (primary and secondary nameservers). You can find recommendations on DNS settings in the description of the 'nserver' field of the registration form. We would like to draw your attention to the fact that primary and secondary nameservers should lay in the different networks of C class.
