Change of payer

The payer of the domain (the bill-o field of the domain form) can be both a legal entity and an individual person.

Attention! Change of payer can be made only after payment for domain registration services and payment for extra services related to the domain.

Change of payer can be made in two ways:

  • by e-mail with authentication
  • by an official letter to RIPN

Change of payer by e-mail or Web-interface

For modifications you can use Web-interface for registered users, or a request for updating the information with the form #[DOMAIN TEMPLATE]#, containing the domain name and the bill-o field with new data, should be sent to the address of the automatic processor: ru-dns@ripn.net

action: update
passwd: <password>
#[DOMAIN TEMPLATE]#
domain: 123qwe.ru
bill-o: <new data>
#[TEMPLATES END]#

The request should be sent taking into consideration the authorization scheme of the technical support service of the domain Administrator.
Administrator authorization is an authorisation of the technical support service indicated in the mnt-by
field of the Administrator form which belongs to the Administrator.

2. If the organization indicated in the bill-o field wants to remove the reference to itself from the domain form, the request for updating the information (similar to the one given above) should have an empty bill-o field.

The request should be sent taking into consideration the authorization scheme of the technical support service of the organization indicated in the bill-o field.

Change of payer by the official letter

The information on the payer can be changed by sending an official letter to RIPN on behalf of the organization-Administrator (indicated in the admin-o field of the domain form). The letter is to be written on a letterhead of the organization and sealed. The text of the letter is given in Supplement 1.

If the admin-o field of the form #[DOMAIN TEMPLATE]# form indicates an individual person, the letter should be sent on his/her behalf. The signature is to be authenticated by an official of an organization. The letter is to be written on a letterhead of the organization and sealed. The text of the letter is given in Supplement 2.

Authentication of the signature by a public notary is also possible.

If the information given in the letter does not agree with the information contained in the RIPN database, modifications in the database are not made.

The letter is to be sent to the address:

1, Kurchatov sq.
123182 Moscow
Russian Institute for Public Networks

For hastening the process of updating the information You can send a copy of the letter to NCC Group of RIPN by fax.

Fax: +7 (495) 737-0602

After receiving the official letter (or its copy by fax) by RIPN modifications in the database are made within one working day. You will be informed about completion of modification to the addresses given in the e-mail field of the form for organization or individual person (admin-o) and in the mnt-nfy field of the form for Your technical support service.
