Registering Second level Domains in .RU Zone

To register domain name you should

1. Register your organization (person) in the RIPN database.

Contract is to be concluded by Customer (Payer), organization or individual who will order (pay) the RosNIIROS services. It should be specified in the 'bill-o' field of the registration form.

2. Send the request for domain registration

Find out, whether the domain name you would like to register is free. You can do this using the following command:    whois -h whois.ripn.net domain-name
or just by means of Whois service

If You want the domain will function, set up DNS for your domain (primary and secondary nameservers). You can find recommendations on DNS settings in the description of the 'nserver' field of the registration form. We would like to draw your attention to the fact that primary and secondary nameservers should lay in the different networks of C class.

Attention!

Application form for the domain registration should be sent with the authorisation of the technical support service of the Customer (organisation or individual specified in the bill-o field of the domain registration form).

Customer authorisation is an authorisation of the technical support service indicated in the mnt-by field of the Customer form which belongs to the Customer. After domain registration process is finished Customer is obliged to pay the upcoming invoice in 30 days period from the date of domain registration. If the payment for the RosNIIROS services is not received in the specified period, delegation of the domain is cancelled, application for the domain registration from the Customer are not accepted until paying off the debt. In case the payment for RosNIIROS services is not received in the period of 60 days from the date of domain registration, domain is released (deleted from the database).
